On the afternoon of March 12, our company hosted a grand ceremony to mark the official designation of the Zhejiang Provincial Postdoctoral Research Station, alongside the presentation of Dr. Jiang Tiankai’s postdoctoral research proposal. The event was attended by leading figures including Jia Lujia, Deputy Director of the Municipal Expert and Overseas Returnees Service Centre, and Chen Jihong, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. Wang Shaofeng, Senior Engineer at the Zhejiang Provincial Electronic Information Product Testing Institute; Professor Wang Youzhao from Zhejiang University; Professor Zhang Cheng from Zhejiang University of Technology; and Professor Zhang Jun from Nanjing University of Technology, alongside relevant department heads, also joined the event. The meeting was chaired by An Wengui, Director of the company’s Human Resources Department.

In his address, Chairman Chen Xiaolin stated that the inauguration of the research station marks a significant milestone in the company’s integration of industry, academia and research, as well as in its efforts to attract high-calibre talent. Tianjie Industrial will spare no effort in providing excellent conditions for postdoctoral research, promoting the commercialisation of research outcomes, and driving high-quality development within the enterprise and the industry through technological innovation.

At the plaque presentation ceremony, Chen Jihong, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, presented our company with the bronze plaque for the Zhejiang Provincial Postdoctoral Research Station.

During the subsequent project proposal session, Dr. Jiang Tiankai gave a detailed presentation on the research project Preparation and Performance Study of Highly Flame-Retardant PVC Cables, systematically outlining key aspects such as the research background, technical approach, areas of innovation and expected outcomes.

Following a rigorous review, the expert panel unanimously agreed that the project is closely aligned with the national "dual carbon" strategic objectives, features cutting-edge research content, and presents a clear and feasible technical approach, possessing significant academic value and practical potential. The experts also offered constructive feedback and unanimously approved the project’s commencement.
The experts in attendance provided in-depth feedback on the project proposal. The expert panel fully endorsed the research foundation and practical application value of the project, and put forward targeted recommendations for improvement regarding key issues such as the electrical properties of the materials, flame retardancy and smoke suppression, and processing techniques. They emphasised the need to focus research on the key technical bottlenecks in the industry, whilst balancing the practicality of the outcomes with the pursuit of technological breakthroughs.
Professor Zhang Jun of Nanjing University of Technology, Dr. Jiang Tiankai’s supervising mentor, highlighted Dr. Jiang’s extensive research expertise in the field of PVC materials. He stated that they would work hand in hand with the enterprise to tackle industry challenges such as flame retardancy and smoke suppression in PVC, facilitate the commercialisation of research findings, and collaborate on the completion of various research tasks.

Jia Lujia, Deputy Director of the Municipal Expert and Overseas Returnees Service Centre, spoke highly of the research project, noting that it aligns closely with actual market needs and features a clear and pragmatic technical approach. He stated that government departments would actively implement relevant support policies for postdoctoral researchers and provide comprehensive support, whilst urging enterprises to accelerate the commercialisation of research findings. He also encouraged postdoctoral researchers to deepen their research in the field, commit themselves to scholarly work, and achieve tangible results at the earliest opportunity.

Chen Jihong, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, congratulated Dr. Jiang Tiankai on the successful completion of the review for his postdoctoral research proposal and outlined the significant achievements made in the development of the Lin’an District Postdoctoral Workstation. He encouraged the postdoctoral researchers to anchor their research in the practical demands of the enterprise and conduct targeted technological research, whilst urging the enterprise to strengthen its leading role in talent development and the cultivation of a succession pipeline.

The successful presentation of the plaque and the holding of the symposium represent a significant milestone in Tianjie Industrial’s efforts to build its talent pool and advance technological innovation, marking a crucial step forward in the company’s recruitment and cultivation of high-calibre talent and the deep integration of industry, academia and research. Moving forward, Tianjie Industrial will utilise the postdoctoral workstation as a high-end research platform to continue attracting top-tier scientific talent, tackle core technological challenges in the field of cable materials, and drive the transformation of research outcomes into tangible industrial development. This will inject fresh momentum into the high-quality development of the wire and cable industry and contribute Tianjie’s strength to the coordinated development of government, industry, academia, research and application within the region.
